2022 Lexus GX 460: What’s New

The 2022 Lexus GX 460 receives significant multimedia and interior enhancements that will finally bring the most popular connectivity options – along with their respective virtual assistants for Lexus drivers and passengers to enjoy. We will also see new color options, more standard equipment, and a shuffling of controls that will bring a whole new look to the interior of the 2022 model.   • Caviar Mica (223) will be a new color for the 2022 GX
  • Nori Green Pearl (6X4) is newly available for Black Line Special Edition GX
  • Rioja Red (21) and Sepia (40) NuLuxe will no longer be available on the Base (grade) style
  • Completely redesigned center console and center cluster – updated to accommodate the new, larger touchscreen display and enhance the usability of major off-road features (you can see some of those reshuffled controls in the picture above)
  • 4WD Mode Selector and controls for Multi-Terrain Select, Height Control, and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) have been moved from the center console to the center stack (see above) and feature more intuitive switches
  • Multi-Information-Display (MID) content and graphics for Crawl Control and AVS have been updated and correspond with the operation of the feature controls (can’t wait to see that!)
  • Climate Controls have been updated for greater usability and readability
  • The Surface for the new Remote Touchpad controller has been raised 0.4-inches while the cupholder base has been lowered 0.9-inches to minimize interference when using the touchpad
  • Ornamentation has been updated with Bright Silver trim around the driver and passenger air registers and side panels and Dark Silver Metallic trim around the center cluster and top of the center console
  • The Rearview mirror with compass has been discontinued, an electrochromic (auto-dimming) rearview mirror with integrated HomeLink is now standard
  • Lexus Multimedia System updated to Gen 11 and includes:
    • 10.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen display
    • Remote Touchpad controller
    • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
    • Amazon Alexa compatibility: Alexa Skill (home-to-car, part of the Lexus app)
    • Lexus Enform Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices (service provided by AT&T)
    • Lexus Enform Safety Connect – three-year trial included
    • Lexus Enform Service Connect – 10-year trial included
    • Lexus Enform Remote – three-year trial included
  • Navigation System is now standard and includes:
    • Navigation system with 3D maps and predictive traffic
    • Lexus Enform Dynamic Navigation – three-year trial included
    • Lexus Enform Destination Assist – three-year trial included
  • Clari-Fi sound processing has been adopted on Mark Levinson Premium Sound Audio System
  • Microphone for Voice Command has been moved from the overhead console to the ceiling on the driver’s side to enhance voice recognition accuracy
  • Intuitive Parking Assist is now standard
  • A rear-seat reminder has been added to the MID
  • Updated Panoramic View Monitor with multiple views for both on-road and off-road driving

  • Second-Row Captain’s Chairs now require the Premium Plus Package (PT) or the Premium Plus Sport Design (PU) on the standard 9700 GX (non-luxury).
