In a 2017 study that ranked the cost of car ownership over time, Lexus ranked #12 out of 32, well ahead of other luxury brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Jaguar, Volvo, Mini, Porsche, and Acura.

Finally, let’s take a look at some data from YourMechanic. They recently conducted a study ranking the 30 most popular car brands from most to least expensive. The top spots for the most expensive cars to own were occupied by BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Volvo, Audi, and Saturn. Lexus was near the bottom of the list–28th out of 30!
